Everything old is new again...It was a great place to train 0352's in HAW-MAW-LAW / Massed Surprised Fires and the intricacies of canalization engagement -- using the M-70 Tracker Trainer and the venerable ATWESS cartridge with the MILES-1 TOW Kit -- in the mid-90s.Speaking of soup, "Silver Wings, Santiago Blue" by Janet Dailey uses Davis as a backdrop for a great WW II WASP period novel. Great historical info throughout.https://lnkd.in/eiawfJwN

A silly article - the Hells Angels don't give a single, solitary crap about what's going on in these white-guilt-ridden, pandering, confused, left-wing utopias. Isn't Colorado rife with "sanctuary cities / areas..." Folks are reaping what they've sown. Those folks pandered and voted for stupid things and now they are receiving their stupid prizes. Does anyone in the affected areas of Colorado have the intestinal fortitude to draw a line in the sand? Hostile intent is hostile intent even in Colorado. These are punks and bullies -- it would not take much to get them to see the errors of their ways. This shouldn't even be a thing in this country. Morons, intellectual dullards, sycophants and the fringe angry, perpetually offended crowd see it as "progress" - until its happening to them of course. (You know... the same folks who put entire cities to the torch, committed sedition and destroyed government / private property en masse because it made them sad / angry.)Good News though -- Notice how you don't see Venezuelan gang-bangers walking around pulling people out of their homes, beating up old people and taking over local businesses all the while armed with AKM-47s, WASR-10s, AK-101s and / or SKSs in places like Jacksonville NC, Big Horn County, Montana, Katy Texas and / or 1000s of similar locales. There's a reason for it...take a guess.https://lnkd.in/e27sDckT

"The new trainer to replace the venerable T-45 Goshawk will not, repeat not, be built to land on a carrier. Now, due to a combination of software advances and cost concerns, future Navy pilots will make their first traps [carrier landings] in their combat jets, the F/A-18s and F-35s..."---------------Wow... I am by NO means an expert on Aircraft Carrier Qualification 101, but this does not sound like a good idea at all. In fact, it sounds like another panicked knee-jerk reaction, case of leadership by "commitee", and / or a kowtow pander to lower a vetted, established, time-honored standard by Big Navy -- COAs they appear to be all too fond of these days. I pray I am wrong though. You guys are one step away from another Kara Hultgreen incident / series of accusations. Do better.Sometimes "cost concerns" aren't or shouldn't be. Not at all. Dig deeper, look harder. Eat more Top Ramen, turn some lights off, do away with uniformed billets and contractors that have nothing to do with warfighting; too many cooks; trim different Blue Dollar fat...

"Watchdog: Air Force Must Get Better at Holding Contractors Accountable for Bad Spare Parts."‐----------Did the Air Force suddenly get bad at stipulating A, B and C when it comes to Cradel-to-Grave, Subsequent Batching, Upgrades and new Replacement Contracting for End Item / Capability X?Is Subcontracting oversight accountability no longer a thing? Are there no batch inspections / tests any more? Are announced / unannounced facility inspections a thing of the past? Are there no Project or Industry Liaison Officers who practically live on site at these facilities anymore to oversee certain enduring tasks and milestone events? Are there truly no more adults running things at Big Air Force these days? Certainly the rank-and-file Airmen deserve better. At least DEI has been expanded and integrated as a warfighting function and BOTH the awards and courts-martial manual have been updated with all the new genders and proper pronouns. Could you imagine if we still had those issues looming...Gasp.

"...This assessment explains why the ACFT, rather than accurately gauging combat preparedness, appears to disadvantage both male and female soldiers. For men, it has inadvertently lowered standards, while for women, it has dramatically increased failure rates compared to the previous Army Physical Fitness Test."________The author makes her detailed and hollistic case that the current testing procedures lacks the ability to gauge / quantify FLEXIBILITY -- an area she sees as a key indicator of Army combat readiness. Should flexibility be an integral, graded, standalone metric on a combat fitness exam or is there enough flexibility already imbedded into each physical event -- due to their sheer nature -- to show an acceptable level of 'flexible' proficiency? Your thoughts?Ken SegelhorstJeromy Henning
