With that in mind, this guide will outline which zones are best depending on the level you want to reach.

The following guide will discuss the following:

  • Which EverQuest zones are best for leveling?
  • How can I earn bonus experience for fast leveling?

To help you on your leveling journey, this EverQuest Leveling Guide has been updated for all updates and patches as of 2022.

EverQuest Leveling Zones for Each Level

Reaching higher levels can be determined by your zone, so let’s start from the beginning with zones 1-10.

EverQuest Leveling Zones – 1-15

The tutorial area is a natural place to start to get to level 10 once you have created your character. You will be asked to complete a task before being escorted to the mines. Here you will find several NPCs that can offer missions to you, so make sure you speak to all of them, then come back once they are completed to get more and repeat the process. Deeper into the mines, there will be guards known as Hobart and Maddoc. They can give you more quests once you have reached level 4, and more NPCs can be found by progressing further into the mine.

Meanwhile, Crescent Reach can help you get up to level 15. This is an area where you can kill bears, pumas, and other enemies such as skeletons. Killing all of these will help you progress up beyond level 15, and though you can advance even further, it’s a good idea to move on around this level.

Level 15-30

Once you are done with the starting areas, you can move on to areas like the Paludal Caverns. This zone on Luclin is located in Shadeweaver’s Thicket, and you will be spending most of your time here fighting against Phlarg Fiends. By beating them and the Recondites you come across you can easily get yourself to level 25.

Once you’re past 20, a good place to get XP is Lake of III Omen. You will find a number of Goblin camps over to the right side of the lake, where the Sarnak Fortress resides. Another great place from going to level 20 to 30 is Marus Seru, which is also found on Luclin. You can find this place via the Netherbian Lair and is a great zone for you to level up. The mobs here can be dangerous due to their ranged attacks, but there is plenty for you to kill around here to get those levels up.

Level 30-50

Getting over the line of 30 can be done in places such as The Overthere. There is a well-known and commonly used grinding area here, with the ledge around the Frontier Mountains often being frequented. You will also find a lot of mobs in Stonebrunt mountain, which can be visited earlier if you choose to.

Going from 30 to 50, you should check out the Lower Guk. This classic zone is inhabited by undead frogloks for you to take care of. You will notice that the mobs do get more difficult as you go on, but this is a great place to get yourself all the way to level 50. Meanwhile, if you have reached level 35, you can visit the Stone Hive, which is very useful for you to get yourself through the 30s and 40s.

Another Luclin zone of use is the Akheva Ruins, which can take you to level 55 if you wish and can be reached via the Maiden’s Eye. Sticking around the entrance is useful to get yourself to 50, and you can go just beyond that if you head further in; everquest leveling can be a grind, so give yourself a pat on the back for having progressed so far as well.

Level 50-60

Ssraeshza Temple is a good place to start in this bracket. You can expect to receive a high amount of XP here, going from 50 up to 60. By once again staying around where you’ve entered, you can level up rather easily. If you have managed to get the hang of it a bit more, then feel free to move further in. Old Sebilis is another handy place for your 50s, as there are many areas for you to level up here. There are mobs pretty much everywhere, so you should have no problem getting to 60.

You can reach up to 65 in the Mines of Nurga. This is a place where you will never be short of mobs, and you can move further in once you level up more. You can expect a good amount of XP that will take you all the way up to your mid-60s.

Level 60-70

If you have followed this guide to get yourself to the 60s, then you should check out the Wall of Slaughter next. Regardless of your class, this is a great place for you to gain valuable XP easily and will take you even to your mid-70s. The Steppes is also worth exploring since you can find several camps with plenty of mobs for you to dispatch.

Level 80-90

Once you have reached level 70, the Dragonscale Hills should be your next port of call. Tasks given from Sigglik here to be completed at the farm do often require a group of players, but the XP that they give makes it very worth it. Meanwhile, the Direwind Cliffs offer various mobs, which also give you a great XP to make it to 80.

To get yourself over the 80 lines, the Loping Plains can be useful from your mid-70s onwards. Several undead camps make it a great place for you to grind, as well as many other creatures such as werewolves and minotaurs for you to take care of.

Level 80-95

If you have used the Loping Plains to get yourself to 85, check out Toskirakk to get to 90. There are difficult mobs for you to face, so make sure your defense is top-notch. If you want to opt for something easier, then you will find boars here that will be simpler to take care of.

Then there are Korascian Warrens, where you can hit up to level 95. Again, expect a lot of damage rom mobs here, so much so that you may struggle to handle them on your own. The sheer size of the area is your biggest advantage here, as well as the amount of camps knocking around.

Bonus Experience for Fast EverQuest Leveling

There are ways for you to earn bonus XP too. These include Veteran Rewards, which can be earned by players who have had an account for an extended period. You could also use XP potions from the SOE store and participate in the bonus XP weekends that are run throughout the year.

Good Luck Leveling!

Whichever method you choose, there are many ways to get your EverQuest leveling up to speed. Choosing the right zones can be a great method for you to do so, and the fact that there are additional bonus ways to earn more XP, to the extent that you should be reaching the peak levels in no time. I hope this Everquest Leveling Guide has been helpful and good luck!
